What is NEMABAG®?

NEMABAG® desiccant packs are non-dusting, tear-resistant moisture absorbers specially manufactured with nonwoven packaging and composed of high-quality materials. Formed by processing NEMABAG® silicon dioxide (SiO₂) into cream/crystal-white beads, they feature an open nano-porous structure with an average particle size of 2.1–2.7 mm and a surface area of approximately 800 m²/g. Thanks to this open nano-porous design, NEMABAG® can adsorb water molecules (moisture) for up to 90 days—up to 40% of its own weight and 300% of its volume. Its moisture adsorption capacity meets DIN 55473 and MIL-D-3464E standards.

Packaged in specially produced nonwoven materials, these desiccant and dehumidifying packs effectively absorb moisture within product packaging to prevent the harmful effects of humidity, corrosion, mold, and degradation during storage and transportation. Suitable for use in homes, offices, boxes, chests, cabinets, beds, and drawers, NEMABAG® protects and preserves both the enclosed area and the products against moisture, dampness, and corrosion damage, ensuring long-term safety.

Providing a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution to prevent moisture-related deterioration in enclosed environments, NEMABAG® maintains a dry atmosphere for export goods and other closed spaces, safeguarding them from damage. Once placed in an enclosed area, NEMABAG® efficiently adsorbs moisture, helping to prevent condensation, corrosion, mold, and humidity-related damage.

How Does NEMABAG® Work?

Once placed in an enclosed space, NEMABAG® immediately begins absorbing moisture from the surrounding air. It reduces temperature fluctuations, ensuring a safe and dry environment.

With its processed zeolite-enriched natural mineral layered structure, it attracts water molecules into its extensive internal surfaces, securely retaining them. This ensures that your products are protected throughout storage or transportation, depending on the quantity of desiccant used, against humidity, dampness, corrosion, mold, and odor damage.

Material Technology and Safety

NEMABAG® complies with the international RoHS DIRECTIVE 2015/863/EU, European DIN 55473-B, and U.S. MIL-D-3464E quality standards.

NEMABAG® desiccants effectively combat harmful effects such as corrosion, mold, and deterioration by adsorbing moisture inside product packaging. The drying agent is composed of processed zeolite and natural minerals, which are safe, environmentally friendly, and easy to dispose of. Thanks to its cost-effectiveness, it is a preferred solution for protecting valuable goods.

Usage and Storage Conditions

After being removed from its airtight vacuum-sealed PE packaging, NEMABAG® immediately begins to absorb ambient moisture. For optimal protection, place the desiccant packets securely within the product storage area within 2 hours of opening.

The shelf life of desiccant packets is 12 months from the production date, provided they remain in their original barrier packaging. For long-term effectiveness, packets should be stored under appropriate conditions in protective barrier film.
